Piracy is really impressive

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I think they were the only Reddit community that made a concerted effort to pack up and move here as a whole.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

lemdro.id and startrek also come to mind, I think the recent surges in Netflix (and potentially Disney) subs raised interest on their topic

Thanks for putting this together, nice to see one of my own communities listed

Adding a link for my sync bros

I use Alexandrite as a front-end, and I there's a noticeable improvement using it to open unknown-to-my-instance communities than without it. Directly on an instance website, unfamiliar links sometimes time out, and give me the error that a refresh will fix. Alexandrite seems to do this itself - it'll stay longer on a blank screen, but then always load the posts from the community.

I saw [email protected] and [email protected] more than once checking out the New Entries, which shows how actively hustlin' for subs makes a difference.

And yes, I did just subscribe to 'Sketch Comedy' and watch 'Farming' for the millionth time

I will probably switch to Alexandrite once it has a light theme, not a fan of the current available hues.

Thanks for your feedback!

@[email protected] https://lemmyf.uk is NSFW focused instance. It probably should be excluded from this list and moved to [email protected]

Ah, I see you don't follow my (sometimes) daily musings. I chatted about the two communities from that instance appearing on this version on the Wednesday and Friday lists.

Anyway, I've eventually got around to messaging the mod of those communities, asking them to revert the community tags back to NSFW, which they have done so. Whether the lemmyverse crawler picks up on the change in time for next list is unknown, but even if not, they won't appear in the SFW lists after that.
