They don't care about ToS as long as you don't use 3rd party client
So like... Public messages they posed on public servers are being published...and a company other than discord is profiting from this? Oh no! I better be careful what I post on discord... Next thing you know they'll start selling Lemmy data too.

Oh no, public is public. Don't post stuff on the internet you don't want to be saved and possibly indexed forever.
The title still works if you remove the word "scraping," too. (I mean, except grammatically)
Internet Archive is also doing this with web pages, sooo...
