Indeed, the whole go card system seems so archaic these days.

Other than being a physical card, is there anything else wrong with them?

Inability to use a digital wallet maybe? I wonder if the new card system would be able to integrate with Apple/Samsung/Google wallet. Easier to tap your phone then to pull a card out of your wallet or purse.

This is all hypothetical for on my part, as I can't use public transport to get to and from work, I hardly ever go shopping and the grocery store is only 30 minute walk, or 5 minute drive for me.

I don’t get the whole rebrand every time the system is implemented. Why not say Go Card+ or something for the new version while the old cards phase out
