LinkedIn is bullshit, for sure! I was laid off January 2, 2024 and for the first few months I was insanely active on LinkedIn due to the belief that you had to in order to get a "real job". I get anywhere's from 75-150 views on my portfolio all of the time, and I'm still unemployed in a traditional sense. I've been using this time to build up my client base and try to start my own business. LinkedIn hasn't done jack for me. It's also cringe as all hell. The "Top Voices" and influencers on there are off the charts narcissists.
Also, be aware that at least half, if not 3/4ths of the jobs posted on there are scams. Recruiters push LI because it's their lazy way of recruiting. It's LAZY. Don't listen to that person. Your resume will get much more attention applying directly anyways.
