The Israeli-Hamas war is clouding these polls.

This poll is clearly bullshit. It’s making it look like the genocide that we are currently participating in, is causing people to forget about Biden’s infrastructure bill!

Material reality is clouding my idealistic worldview and it's all you tankies faults powercry-2

Israeli-Hamas war

My eye twitches whenever I read this phrase. It was obviously workshopped in some boardroom somewhere to obscure the fact that Israel is carrying out a genocide of the entire Palestinian people.

"Israeli pogrom against Palestinians" is way more accurate than "Israel-Hamas War"

Genocide Joe's US-taxpayer-funded child-murder-palooza

[–] [email protected] 17 points 3 months ago

Agreed. Calling it a war in any sense is already a reframing of reality. Calling it Israeli-Hamas War is an even more cynical twisting.

When they call it the "war in Gaza" I get bothered too. Even when the media uses the word genocide, they usually lead with "alleged" like all these people aren't really dead and starving.

His infrastructure bill of busting strikes that are demanding better safety protocols right before a massive infrastructure disaster because of lack of safety protocols.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Not even sure which massive infrastructure disaster because of lack of safety protocols you're referring to

Would imagine at least one is the rail strike he broke, and then a couple months later the derailment in Palestine, Ohio.

Biden hates all Palestines

Is there a way to view twitter threads without a twitter account or is that entire concept just gone these days?

[–] [email protected] 15 points 3 months ago

I have a fuggin' twitter account and I can't even view them. I can view one tweet. The comments don't load. Refreshing or attempting to visit another page of a different tweet will break Twitter and then I can't even view the ONE it let me look at it until hours later. Sometimes I can get one thread or comment chain to load by viewing it in incognito mode, but any subsequent viewings will brick the site for me. Elon has broken one of the most popular sites in ways I can't even fathom

No problem! Just use that URL instead of Twitter and paste the extra bits if you want to read the thread.

I know we bang on and on about how 2016 never ended but this is literally the exact same mistake they made in 2016.

They insisted any polling that showed it was a close race was bullshit, had 5000 word reddit comments saved about how polling favors older more conservative people, and kept reassuring each other this shit was locked up.

Riiiiiigggghhhhtt until they lost to trump.

It really is wild how much liberals love enthusiastically jumping on the exact same take in the exact same way over and over again.

[–] [email protected] 23 points 3 months ago (1 children)

polling favors older more conservative people

If we accept this as true wouldn't that be even more damning since young people are by and large opposed to the genocide?? Like, if it's polling older people Biden should have an enormous advantage but even here he's getting rinsed

[–] [email protected] 23 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Well you have to consider that liberals think their position of "those spoiled brats should stfu because they're making Biden look bad" is the farthest left position possible. Because they hold it and they're committed Progressives^Tm^

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago

I don't understand how they don't put together "young people don't vote" and "polling skews old and conservative".

[–] [email protected] 35 points 3 months ago

Even taking into account the skewing that happens with these polls because who the fuck under 35 picks up a phone call from a number they don’t recognize, my god Biden is going to be destroyed in November. Like, forget the bizarro lose popular vote/win the electoral college path, Trump is going to win the popular vote too.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 3 months ago

Does the Biden campaign need to do better at reaching out to voters under 35, even if it means abandoning unpopular policies?

No, it's the polls that are wrong.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 months ago

liberal denial in a poll about politics

Isn't that just every poll now?
