badposting is a comm where you post badly

This is not a [email protected] alternative. This is not a [email protected] alternative. This is a place for you to post your bad posts.

Ever had a really shitty bit idea? Joke you want to take way past the point of where it was funny? Want to feel like a stand-up comedy guy who's been bombing a set for the past 30 minutes straight and at this point is just saying shit to see if people react to it? Really bad pun? A homemade cringe concoction? A cognitohazard that you have birthed into this world and have an urge to spread like chain mail?

Rules:

  1. Do not post good posts.
    • Unauthorized goodposting is to be punished in the manner of commenting the phrase "GOOD post" followed by an emoji that has not yet been used in the thread
    • Use an emoticon/kaomoji/rule-three-abiding ASCII art if the rations run out
  2. This is not a comm where you direct people to other people's bad posts. This is a comm where you post badly.
  3. This rule intentionally left blank.
  4. If you're struck for rule 3, skill issue, not allowed to complain about it.

Code of Conduct applies just as much here as it does everywhere else. Technically, CoC violations are bad posts. On the other hand: L + ratio + get ~~better~~ worse material bozo

My fitness routine? All that mental gymnastics justifying why I totally don't have free time to exercise today

"I'm too busy to exercise!"

*spends 8 hours playing stellaris*

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I think it's important to reframe 'too busy' as 'too drained' I can only really exercise when it gets nice out and my dog brain takes over and goes 'must itch asshole in sunglight...touch grass...chase squirrel'. I am pretty much a sloth when its cold and dark out though.

And you needa find what kind of exercise works for you. For me, lifting and treadmilly gym stuff is boring as fuck, I needa do some kind of sports are moving-in-the-world.

There are medical exceptions like me/cfs, but as a rule, you get more energy from exercising in the long term. For example, if you can exercise 90 minutes per week, spread out between several days (ideally 15 minutes per day or 20 minutes per day with two rest days), it will help you have more energy than you would if you never exercised.

Hard agree on "it has to be fun or enjoyable," though. If a form of exercise is torture, you won't continue doing it. But an elliptical machine + good music/podcast/TV show/audio book works for me, and it's actually kinda pleasant. Exercise bike or actual bike riding is also great.

I also started biking to work so I'm at like 5-10 hours a week rn, although I'm not pushing too hard on the ride there so I don't show up gross lol.

From the river to the sea?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 4 months ago

It would be nice to live by the sea but alas.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 months ago

It's great! I hope you keep up with it. There aren't many more things nicer than ride bike.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 months ago

if you wanna follow OPs fitness program you can also consider moving the river so that the bike ride becomes longer but not longer than simply going to the river
