I let my friend use my account and they accidently put in the wrong domain and got phished. Just wanted to let you guys know about this.

You may have seen the post i made a bit ago about trade ogre draining my accounts, but actually the account was just phished. I feel really stupid for jumping the gun but someone pointed it out to me.

I only lost a couple hundred dollars, thankfully, so, lesson learned.

How did your friend put in the wrong URL ?

Was it a spoofed link on a website, a phishing email, or did he just type it in wrong ?

was a type-in or from google search cant remember. google has big issues with phishing domains

I have seen so many Monero-oriented phishing domains in Google ranked higher than the real domains I'm beginning to suspect it's not an error.

Misspelled phishing domains are very real. Thanks for the reminder to triple check every time.
