This is Canada’s sin. The US does some fucked up shit, but this is a line even we wouldn’t dare cross.
I had these during kindergarten (in the 90s) in the US, but they replaced them with cartons by the time I got to first grade.
Which is good because none of us 5 year Olds could operate them
Went to my kids school for a lunch with your kids thing and as a grown adult I couldn't operate them either. A vertical bag like Capri sun would make sense,but this is just stupid.
Had them in North Carolina in the 2000s
This isn't a standard Canadian milk bag, we still use cartons for sizes this small

I recall the first time I saw these as a kid when visiting my mother in Alberta. I hated them then and I'm not sure it's changed since then. Haven't seen them in BC.
Having lived in Alberta since 2001 and never seeing it there, when was that?
I did grow up with them in Ontario though.
I like to say a little before that time but it was in the early 80s
We had this in Switzerland for a while, but it wasn't very popular.
Milk used to be sold like this in Czechoslovakia too. Not sure about other Eastern Bloc countries.

San Francisco used bagged milk instead of cartons at least during the late 90s and early 00s. For obvious reasons, I have no idea if that's still the case.
Yeah, we all remember the great sinking of SF in 2013. Such a tragedy. Unaware folk still try to cross the golden gate bridge southbound just to drown. Google really should fix that.
