Artist Kamil Mullashev is closely linked to three nations: China, Russia, and Kazakhstan.
He was born in Urumqi on 27 of October, 1944 and took his first steps within the arts; in Russia he received his higher professional art education, and in 1972 he entered the painting department of the Moscow State Art Institute named after V. I. Surikov; and
Kazakhstan - which is associated with most of the life and work of the artist.

Youth. The central part of the triptych "Earth and Time. Kazakhstan".

Fame found him quickly. His thesis, the triptych "Earth and Time. Kazakhstan" was acquired by the State Tretyakov Gallery after its exhibition at the All-Union Exhibition. It was reproduced many times.

Bread strada. The right part of the triptych "Earth and Time. Kazakhstan".

The artist succinctly and meaningfully embodied the image of the republic, identifying three main components in it: oil, virgin land, and space.

gives me strong Destiny 2 skybox vibes, love the sense of space in these scenes

The people in rural Kazakhstan went from living in yurts and villages to leading highly sophisticated lives employed in communist cadres, arts, theater, mining, gas and oil, mass agriculture and leading a rich and fulfilling civil life... I suppose the popular view in almost every SFSR was extreme optimism for the future to expand man's footprint in a positive way. I think Destiny 2's setting is also similar, the Traveler terraformed earth and caused a hastened industrialization, so it makes sense that this rendition of "industry and progress dwarfing man" mimics a setting where something that is basically a god is the literal manifestation of humanity's extreme progress.
