A place to discuss comic books of all types, from old to new, Big 2 to indie, and everything in between.

Floppies, graphic novels, compilations, omnibusses (omnibusi?) are all fair game.

There is only one rule:*

Comic Books is a no judgement zone.

You can talk all you want about how Rob Liefeld is trash, Bob Kane is an asshole, or Frank Miller and Dave Sim’s politics have made them toxic, that’s all good.

If, however, another user is LEGITIMATELY a fan of something you don’t like, that does NOT make them a lesser person. Attack the art for being bad, not the person for being a fan of bad art.

* I lied. There are TWO rules... No piracy. Cover shots? That's good. Interior pages, in moderation? Sure. Full books? Links to pirate sites? That's how we get things shut down. :(

I'm not saying it's been a problem, because it hasn't been.

This weeks list! Come and get it! Big one for me:

Dawnrunner #4 - Been loving this series so far, giant mechs vs eldritch kaiju but the mechs are somehow more than just mechs.

From The World Of Minor Threats Barfly #1 - You can bet if it says "Minor Threats" it's on my pull list. Been waiting for this one! Barfly is a punk dude who looks like he got Jeff Goldblumed ala The Fly. So far only really a background character, I look forward to him getting his own series.

Batman Gotham By Gaslight The Kryptonian Age #2 - Batman's alright.

From The DC Vault Death In The Family Robin Lives #1 - I do like Batman, and Mike Mignola

Ain't No Grave #3 - Scottie Young does it again

Falling In Love On The Path To Hell #2 - missed #1 but this looks good

Geiger #4 - Super-Fallout is pretty good so far

I Hate Fairyland Compendium Volume 1 The Whole Fluffing Tale TP -The first series 1-20 in a convenient package

Ice Cream Man #40 - pt 2 of the car crash issue, the other car's perspective.

Precious Metal #2 - I like the art in these a lot.

Man, and I tbought Cowboy Superman was cool... turns out, Investigative Reporter Superman >> Cowboy Superman.

If I had less to pick up already I'd probably check it out, but this Wed will be financially devastating (kidding, but woof that Fairyland TPB isn't helping the volume of singles lol).

Thanks for recommending Dawnrunner. I devoured the first four after reading this post and now I'm sad that I have to wait until September for the next one. I will definitely be keeping up with the series.
