I've done that plenty of times...

Without using the Cheese

Uhhh

I was too "oh I might need it later" on consumables my first playthroughs, so I didn't use any at all aside from the ubiquitous pellets. But ever since learning the Aerial Deathblow trick and the loop strat, I've never fought it honestly.

After you kill them once honestly, no shame in cheesing the fight in subsequent runs in my books. Whenever I go for another run, I cheese the bull because I just can't be bothered to fight it proper

I mean, it's a single player game, which we play to have fun. I'm not gaining any advantage over someone else by doing something the "easy" way. If someone else hates fighting the DoH and opts to cheese it, they're not affecting me at all. If they never fight Guardian Ape without the stagger loop because they just don't enjoy it, that's their right and I'm not going to judge them.

Obviously, if you're taking part in some competition (like Glitchless Speedruns), that competition is subject to rules. But for yourself? Do whatever you want.

No doubt, agree 100%. I'd argue that at least trying to fight each boss legit for the sake of a unique gameplay experience is worth a go, but even that, like you said, is just a suggestion. It's a toy to be played with at the end of the day, so have at it the way you want to play
