Looking to decorate my new room and wanted a vintage propaganda poster but don't want to pay for vintage bc I am broke. Anyone know where I can get prints of some of the more famous propaganda art? Preferably from a marxist group but really I will take whatever

At this point a lot of the classics are "public domain" I would think.

There are places that will print poster size from .jpg

If you want to get them from marxist groups my first suggestion is to check some leftist bookshops. Connolly Books has a couple okay ones, there's prob some other bookshops that have some posters too

I buy mine from someone on eBay in Ukraine. Or bought, at any rate. I haven’t purchased any more in a few years. None are vintage. I wouldn’t know how to check its lineage, any way.

I have about 20 USSR pieces from different time periods. All of them are on canvas as opposed to poster stock and the difference in price was pretty similar. A couple dollars more for the canvas versus poster. Having them framed was expensive. More than the cost of the printed canvas itself. Even proper DIY framing was expensive.

I think my most expensive ones were the “full size” prints. Some of those were 40-50 apiece. But again, I opted for canvas so a couple dollars more but not break the bank. all my repros were between 15-50 apiece depending upon size. Some were free shipping, some not.
