I feel like I'm out of touch for just calling my trans comrades comrades and having it be that simple.

But secretly I have a complex about the audience being upset when the athlete that was supposed to win loses. One of my most memorable wins in BJJ was when I was losing against an opponent who had their spouse and child there cheering for them, but then I got them with a wrist lock in the last minute and got to savor the surprise on their faces. More than winning, I enjoy being the reason that my opponent doesn't win. I relish when they try bully tactics on me and they don't work. If someone cried when I punched them in the face and then everybody got butthurt I would find it sweeter than the medal.
The discourse about this on chud twitter is insane. Full on ergot poisoning levels of derangement. They’re even going after that one cis rugby player who afaik is just very athletically built and has no chromosomal or genetic abnormalities.
Ilona Maher. She's tearing it up but she's not even that much of a monster in the grand scheme of women's rugby. There's players the same size as her on the 15 a side pitch all the time.
I haven't really kept up with rugby overall in recent years as much as I used to, but as for others who make Ilona seem a lot less scary: Portia Woodman, and Heather Fisher.

So what does she just have PCOS? Is she intersex? I don't get it. There is nothing in what I can find that she's trans, but she apparently has high blood concentration of testosterone (unlikely this would even be the case if she was on HRT).

The Olympics test that shit on trans athletes the moment they get into town and everyday since. Her T levels are within range of the other ladies T levels, I absolutely guarantee it.
This isn't rocket science, but it is unfortunately contentious, they got professionals doing the professional things.

It's so obvious when you look at these TERFs that chromosomes, hormones, height, bone density or whatever else they come up with are all just a psuedoscientific smokescreen. The only thing that matters is exactly the same thing that has always mattered in misogyny - gatekeeping who is and who isn't considered a woman. If you're tall, if you've got broad shoulders, if you've got naturally high testosterone it doesn't matter what you were assigned at birth, to them you are not a woman.
