Having played the game when it came out, I initially thought it too difficult, getting stuck at lady butterfly and giving up after hours of attempts. Over the years, I would re install and attempt to get further again and again, with no luck. Only recently, within the past 2 weeks, did I finally start making progress, I think largely because of a 120 fps mod to be honest. I beat lady butterfly, who it turns out you don't need the snap seeds for phase two, and moved on to other bosses, like genichiro, one of the best fights in the game with a great song. And the O'Rin of the water fight, and the one with the dragon, and the crazy fight with owl where he can mikiri counter your attacks, sort of like the rapier guy in the undead parish from dark souls 1, and all the cool fights with the roaming boss generals. But the best fight in the whole game, that took me 4 hours straight to beat, is of course Isshin Ashina, the Sword Saint. Obviously it starts with genichiro, but his moveset is largely similar to his initial fight, so it wasn't so bad. But man when isshin shows up, he doesn't mess around. His first phase isn't so bad, he has a few mikiri attacks, and you can actually parry the crazy wind attacks which was awesome. Phase two gave me the most trouble, with the polearm/spear he starts using in addition to his katana, makes his moveset really hard to read. But eventually I got to his final phase and with enough perfect deflections and remembering to counter his lightning attacks, he went down after 4 hours, with a stylish as heck execution. And I really do think he's one of the best from soft bosses, simply because he was a completely fair boss, you could respond to all of his moves with counters or dodges of some kind, any time you took damage it was your fault, he has no BS moves, only ones you can respond to. I could feel myself getting better at the fight went on, parrying more and more of his attacks until it became second nature. Truly, one of the best fights they've ever done. Glad I finally took the time to beat Sekiro, thank you for reading. Hesitation is Defeat.
