Nice work. Where did you source the cushions?

Thanks! I purchased them from Amazon. If I am honest, that was the toughest part of the entire process.
The bottom cushions are 19x19 cushions.
The top cushions are throw pillows in these pillow cases.
Thanks for the links. We were gifted/handed down a patio set but with no cushions. I've been debating on if it's more efficient to but cushions or a new set.
Nice work 👍
The plan is to build a "catio" from the basement egress window beneath the couch which will go to the side of the couch. I also plan on building a coffee table over the next couple of weeks. Would love to be able to enjoy a dinner out there.
Ahhhh that's so awesome >_< It looks amazing.
I'm starting to get an itch to create some basic patio furniture.
Any chance you have some plans you based this on that you can share?
Usually I try to build my own plans in Fusion 360 but this is the plan I used for this build. Figured it was easier than trying to ensure the cushions were right size.

TY! I like the reclining back, looks like it'd be more comfortable 🤔 I'm gonna try to give this a shot soon.
I just built a similar sectional with plans from Ana White. We haven't moved them onto the deck yet, but you might want to adjust the back so they're slanted a bit, depending on your cushions.
I used Ikea cushions and I'd agree, that was the most difficult thing to source.
THANK YOU! This is my next project.
I'll keep an eye out for IKEA cushions, there's one nearby.
I used Duvholmen cushions with Jarpon covers. Actually just moved them out and the Jarpon covers have their own padding in them so they're still comfy even with that single back support.
TY again, I got it all down in a doc 🙂
Anyone have any tips for painting wood? Since it was just construction grade lumber, I went with an outdoor paint vs a stain. But I noticed in the direct sun some small areas have slight bubbling. Did I just not do a good enough job preparing the surface? I want to get it right before building the coffee table. Thanks!
looks great!
Good work, it looks cozy. What's the grate under the couch?
Thank you! That is an egress window for a basement window. It's honestly ugly in there. Just looks like metal from a farm silo. Thats why we want to convert it into a catio entrance. At least the kitties can enjoy it.
I want to do something exactly like this for the house we just moved into. Looks very nice.
