It's called rage batting for a reason.

Just to play devil's advocate: Mario is without a doubt the oldest recognizable character that still has some modern appearances. You can't really take pong and some shitty mobile game as a comparison.

I think Pac Man is the oldest, but only by a year.

It gets very blurry in the early days of video games. Ahoy made a great video about just that, actually: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=uHQ4WCU1WQc&pp=ygUYYWhveSBlYXJsaWVzdCB2aWRlbyBnYW1l

Basically, there's earlier games than pacman, but what actually constitutes a video game starts to become a much less trivial question.

He even has the broccoli haircut. He knows what he's doing.

Nobody who has a broccoli haircut knows anything in general

He's probably aware that he's doing something. And whatever that is means he's getting views and that's all that matters.

Kids man... I remember back in the day being asked to review a gaming site a young'un was trying to get off the ground and I had to correct them that Mario was NOT created by Atari and man, they were ADAMANT.

Their evidence?

Its even funnier because Nintendo's brand name is printed three times on that cartridge.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Yeah but it says Atari twice

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago (2 children)

It says Atari also 3 times. Also Sears.

Yeah, Sears had their own licensed knock off of the Atari 2600.

"Donkey Kong by Nintendo"

This won't stop me because I can't read.

I imagine the hate-clicks from GenXers and retro-game enthusiasts do wonders for Laughing Boy’s engagement

"Top 100 ragebait assholes of Youtube."

Try doing it in real time and then talk to me about it.

I don't give these guys any clicks.

I played these games when I was a kid (80's):

Speed Race

Tank

The games were still being played more than 10 years later and they had copycat versions floating around.

That kid knows exactly what he’s doing. Bravo I say.
