I don't know if Lemmy's the future, but even if it's not, Reddit's the past. This place seems like the best bet at being the future right now.

Not all of us are hard-line tankies but you'll find no one likes the orange Nazi here. You've had almost 10 years to figure out the man's a danger to the social fabric of this country and the geopolitical stability of the world at large. Please just leave and take your poisonous opinions with you.

Normally I welcome people with different opinions, but I truly believe that people still following Trump are absolutely in the wrong. He is a foul, broken, weird human, and his goals are to fuck up all of our lives (yes, yours too) so that he and a dozen others can have money and power. This is as clear, proven, and obvious as it is reading the history books about prior dictators, so I have zero sympathy or respect for seemingly intelligent people who still support him.
So uh, welcome I guess, you do you, but I don't think we are gonna be your crowd.

OP started a Lemmy Community with, I'll say, a divisive subject. I did ask for clarification on their position:

Hmmm... I mean, you won't fit in with Lemmy proper any more than Reddit proper (perhaps worse, lol), but it raises a question to other lemmings: are there any conservative instances?
I'm torn, as on the one hand I'd prefer you not have an echo chamber, but on the other hand I'd like to see Lemmy prosper. There's a reason instances defederate from one another, and radical idiology is one. Look at Hexbear for an example.
Btw, Lemmy was created by genuine communists (not the hyperbole ones, I mean actual ones) and run the Lemmy.ml instance. While it's FOSS and therefore plenty of others have run and moderate their own instances, keep in mind that's our starting point.
