A battle is brewing between the city and its booksellers, who have been warned that the kiosks will have to be taken down for the Paris Olympics – an unprecedented move since the book stalls took up full-time residence along the Seine more than 160 years ago.

That's the truth of it, isn't it? The Olympics are just an excuse to make sweeping changes throughout a city and get rid of the undesirables.

I think there's a good reason why it's coming to Los Angeles next.

That's fucked up they should move the Olympics then keep the book stores.

So happy that some years ago we shut down the "grass roots" campaign for our city to host the Olympics. Supposedly, it was demanded by the masses, but the only people who expressed any demand for it were real estate moguls and sports arena owners.

Paris, and some of it's inhabitants are kicking out homeless people. Students who usually can stay during summers won't be able to, because they are going to use those students housing for the OG.

And let's bot forget those who was forced to sell their homes for build the new subway line built for the OG.
