Sega has officially announced the development of a new Virtua Fighter game.

Justin Scarpone, Sega’s global head of transmedia, confirmed during an interview with VGC that a new Virtua Fighter game is in the works.
Key Points:
The last mainline release, Virtua Fighter 5, was released almost two decades ago in 2006.
Since then, only minor appearances of Virtua Fighter characters have been seen, such as in the Yakuza series and Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown.
Speculations point towards this game possibly being Virtua Fighter 6.
