He was the only person of the playstation executives i ever liked. Had a lot contact with the community, talking about games he played, what he likes and don't like that much. Never was such a boring person as Herman Hulst, even at his time as president of sie world wide studios. Maybe it's good he is now able to support indie dev, regardless of the system they release games.

Well, something happened within Sony Entertainment, he got removed as a President of Worldwide Studios, and got demoted to indie thing. This is also when PS headquarters moved to US from Japan.

Good luck to him for whatever he does next.

I think he still was quite a while president of world wide studios after the move to us. But Shawn layden and Shuyei replace on a quite short amount of time wasn't probably at good sign at that time. I think Shu is fine, whatever he does. I got mentioned he still want to visit indie dev and help with his experience in gaming.

I can't imagine having to work for 31 years, let alone at the same place. Long overdue to retire.

Me too. But he step down already a while ago as president from sie world wide studios and traveling across the world visit indie dev, that payed by playstation. Guess that kind of job isn't that bad.
