It has not replicated as universally helpful or bad. If you are curious and make sure you are eating well it can be worth trying to see if it works for you. It is not recommended, but that is not to say it is recommended you do not.
We all have different goals in life and different relationships with food. Tentative experimentation is the name of the game. If you want to free up time, or eat more consciously, or if it helps you calory restrict and that's a goal then hey, good for you!
