Sorry, you're out of brain points. Try resting up and maybe you can figure out that leaky faucet.

That faucet has been running just fine for the last 2 years without stopping even once.
...the second I get to work.
FTFY
But on the way home I had so many ideas what to do. And they'll come back.. once I try to sleep.
precisely
100%
So, I fixed it! I have a lot of privilege in being able to do this but my job can be done remotely. Right now I'm living in Spain and working in EST so my local working hours are 1500-2300 so I get to have the full morning to get my blood pumping and enjoy before heading to work.
Oh my god my whole day would be so anxious making sure im ready for work in time, then probably miss the start of the shift because I got distracted right at the end
My partner gets the same appointment anxiety (any day we have an appointment she is nervous about doing anything before it). It's a difficult thing to overcome but she's had success with counseling and delegating more schedule management to me.
I used to work a job that rotated shifts every month, when I was in my early 20s evening shift was best: wake up at the crack of 10am, chill or run and errand or two, head to work at 2:30, off at 10:30 so had enough time to haul ass to town and hang out at the bars
Night shift was okay. get off in the morning and come home and having beers at 8AM is kind of weird though. But that's where I tasted that appointment anxiety first.
These days, I don't know if I could function outside of day shift
It’s by design
true. this applies to NT folks too because work is meant to be like that :[
This is me except it's when I get to work.
I'm way ahead of you, I don't even have energy or motivation at work either
Get out of my head, Charles
you guys make it to the end of the day? :/
