I saw Lemmy.world has self deployed the Voyager (formerly wefwef) app and it made a lot of sense! That's why I felt the shameless need to copy. It seems to be a nice experience even on the computer as well. Also NSFW content is not blurred as expected! Give it a try.

Very much infinity for reddit vibes, I really liked that app. This is god damn beautiful honestly. Seriously considering switching to it.

Since this is ran but you its safe to login via? Because it looks nice.

Yep! It's same as wefwef.app and vger.app. I just changed NSFW img blur. You can even add it to homepage with PWA.

Nice. Now we need to convince the dev to integrate video stuff like redgif because its a pertty fire UI.

/u/[email protected] don’t know if you guys still support the voyager instance, but updates have been broken for at least around a week and if go to the voyager.lemmynsfw.com url Cloudflare throws up a 526 and says your SSL certificate is invalid.

Oops I tweaked the config for better security but applying same to the Voyager. I’ll fix it, thank you for reporting 🫡

Awesome! Thanks again :)

Nice!

First issue I see - at least on my browser (Kiwi, chromium based. On Android), usernames are not showing on the feed view - they do when opening a post or in the ellipse menu for a post on the feed. I tried both light and dark modes, and tried clearing cache.

They’re upgrading daily. It’ll get better.

What did you do to unblur the images?

«Shameless» copy of Apollo for Reddit.

Probably one of the best user experiences for any social media of any app.

I’m impressed at the speed of which they’ve copied it, but I really miss the Apollo account switcher where you’d long press your account name. In general the account switcher/manager in Apollo and it’s a bit sad they copied all of it.

Other than that great, and by permanent deblurring it made the user experience 10 times better for this lemmy.

Unfortunately, it doesn't support embedded gif links yet, does it?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

nope, it doesn't 🫤

@yay what about deploying photon? If has a persisted setting to unblur NSFW posts.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (3 children)

Hey! I deployed it on photon.lemmynsfw.com but we didn't announced it yet. Let's be first one who uses it :) Thanks for the idea.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Photon dev here, honored that my project is being used for porn 😆

FYI there's an env variable to disable nsfw blur for everyone by default.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I see a lot of customization options. Nice! I will add it as soon as possible.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

It's PUBLIC_NSFW_BLUR. Set it to false and any new users will have that as the default option.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Thanks! Working nice so far I think. Would be nice to redgifs previewed inline, but I see that with voyager and photon while the regular Lemmy UI does show them inline, so that's probably on photon/voyager themselves rather than your instance.

It doesn't seem to recall my home feed settings. It always resets to Local/Active instead.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Very cool! How will this work when the PWA is updated?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Same as how it did, It'll update with it automatically! (hopefully 😀)
