Breadtube if it didn't suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.

If you support Palestinian liberation, I think it would be wise to replicate Mr. Zomlot's representation of his people's issues. It's worth a watch.

We the International Community™ porky-happy condemn this completely unprovoked attack on the BBC that targeted an innocent civilian

Good on him for not allowing that reporter to paint him into a corner or get a rise out of him. He's absolutely right. This whole situation is terrible, more for some than others, but ultimately for all. When you strip away a people's right to self-determination and leave them no other recourse, this is what happens.

Wow, he did not let that reporter direct the course of that conversation, he gave constant historical context and wouldn't let the other guy steer the conversation to a simplistic narrative.

A lot of people on here get concerned about "responding to [x]", including this exact topic, when they need to learn to control the conversation.

We know these topics are complex, and they way we discuss them needs to involve pulling out the roots of the issue instead of getting bogged down in liberal fishbrain talking points.

"When you heard what Hamas had done" is such a fucking vile way to start, right of the fucking bat.
