Does anyone know if it is possible to take a Roku box, wipe it and install something else on it? I was thinking LibreElec, something else Kodi-ish or even just stock android.

Not sure of details, but I think Roku are extremely limited in hardware department

Yeah, it has video decoding hardware and a CPU just powerful enough to download a single video stream. My buttcheeks move faster during a fart than a Roku’s CPU

I have a Roku TV. I also have Kodi on my PC. With a little android app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.leetzone.android.yatsewidgetfree I can cast Kodi to my Roku.

Edit, there's a trick to it, you cast to local device (your phone) and use "web video caster" to cast it to the Roku. Roku locked down the ways you can cast, but Web Video Caster uses the correct way
