I know that this information is years old, but as the GOP attempts to pick their new nominee for Speaker of the House, I find it important to note that most of their potential candidates are ones who objected to the 2020 Presidential results in one or both of Arizona and Pennsylvania.

Doesn't matter that it's old. It's important that it's reposted on an open site that won't modify the post. If only we could get r/keep_track over here... Ty for the post and the reminder.

they just need to tread water until next month when we can make them minority again and maybe get back to the people's work. smh

I don't live in Daniel Meuser's district, but I am familiar with a number of parts of it. I don't live too far from there though, and I travel to his district a few times a year. I'm decently politically active, and I don't recognize the guy's name, so after reading about him quick, he seems your standard current Republican. Nothing extra alarming jumps out about him that you couldn't say about 90% of Rs.

Scott Perry is the one on that list to watch out for from PA. While the rest are just followers, Perry is a leader, not just in PA, but nationally. He's leader of the Freedom Caucus, who are the ones behind most of what has been absorbed by the MAGA movement. Pretty much everything that has pissed you off about Republicans in the last 10 years is due to them.

Members, present and former, include Desantis, Boebert, Greene, Jordan, Gaetz, Brooks, Gosar, Biggs, Mulvaney, and Navy others you would probably recognize.

I'm really surprised Perry still seems to be off of most people's radar, the guy is a national threat.

Missing Darin LaHood(Il). I remember writing him a nasty letter then. His Dad, Ray LaHood was Transportation Secretary for Obama. Box of rocks

It may be the case that he intended to vote against certification, but only after the riots did he vote to certify. I can't find a vote from him to decertify, but if you can I'll throw him up there.

hmm, remember at least shortly after, he signed a letter of some sort. recall leaving some words(stupid mfr?), Facebook maybe, I was surprised I didn't get a timeout. now I have to dredge up news from then. maybe it was a letter of intent(?)

wikipedia has a timeline summary of news and events. previous/next day navigation is at the bottom https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal:Current_events/2021_January_6

still digging...

After sifting a while found this page that talks about an amicus brief. maybe that is what I remembered but was likely in the news. Never heard of the site. https://accountability.gop/profile/rep-darin-lahood/ and, A local newspaper article mentions the Texas Brief a bunch of Rs signed. He did eventually think of his career for the vote. https://www.google.com/search?q=darin+lahood+amicus+brief
