How's the weather up there for riding? Not afraid of water, just careful with it.

I'll let you know once I find the meat crayon community here.

I used to like 15 years ago. Not sure what kind of info you are looking for. Wet most of the time? Summers are great and there are plenty of windy roads you can go explore not too far from the city.

Thanks for your insight. Thinking about relocating, I'm a lot more fond of two vs 4 wheelers. But trying to determine if that's doable, vs my current socal environs.

How nasty do winters get?

The last ~5 years the winters have gotten pretty nasty. It used to maybe snow 1-2 days a year, but lately we've had weeks of snow/nasty weather during the winter. Combine that with the hills and there is probably a good month or two where you would be pretty uncomfortable. I used to commute ~1 hour in the rain, and it wasn't too bad with a fully body weather suit, but I never tried it in the snow. Infrastructure is pretty much 0 for snow except maybe on I-5. The general approach to snow has been "let it melt".

If you do make your way to the PNW, check out the Cascade Loop!
