“It’s frustrating that we’ve developed this national law enforcement intelligence-sharing network that basically takes disinformation straight from the rightwing social media fever swamps and puts it out under the imprimatur of law enforcement intelligence, so it becomes an amplifier of disinformation rather than a corrective to that disinformation,” German said.

There's as much reason to take IDF as face value as it to take it from the GRU, or whatever the Russian/Chinese/Saudi equivalent is...

They lie constantly and intentionally and get caught frequently doing so.

Which is probably why US Law enforcement identify with them so much...

Honestly it just makes the case for abolishing local policing in favor of a national policing service, at least then they won't have the excuses of split jurisdictions when they fuck up or want to hop precincts to escape accountability.

Or just regulate it.

A doctor needs a license because people's health are in their hands. And losing a license in one state doesn't mean you can just move to the next state and your a doctor again.

With the amount of lives bad cops ruin or even end, it's insane we basically let anyone be a cop if the existing cops think it's ok.

There needs to be an outside agency that vets these idiots, otherwise the "bad apples" at the top just keep hiring more bad apples.

I don't see how this would fix the problem as agencies like the FBI, ICE, CBP, and ATF also commit rights violations and other atrocities on the public. Furthermore, it's impossible to sue federal officers for misconduct, unlike state and local police. This just seems like a way to have even less accountability when compared to a local police force controlled by local politicians.

That's what you get an agency entirely dedicated to policing the police for

So is this where all the cops get the 'fentanyl will kill you if it's even near you' thing from?

The Guardian’s analysis of documents from the BlueLeaks trove of internal law enforcement documents found no indication that this was balanced by information from other Middle Eastern sources or US Muslim community groups. Nor is there any indication that pro-Israel activists were subject to any specific scrutiny.

Every day more piles of shit are discovered about cops, PDs and fed agencies yet no gov't stands up and says "Enough!"
