We know they like to stick flags on everything. We've maybe all seen the Kelly cartoon where some guy complains that their neighbors only put up their flags for the fourth of July. But do they really notice if you don't have a flag on your house or your car? Also, what's the deal with reactionaries randomly removing their flags? A guy I know whose father or grandfather was probably in the klan took his flag down a month or two ago and I have no idea why. "Hunter Biden has tarnished our glorious nation's reputation" or something is probably the reason. I have another neighbor whose shitty wooden flagpole has lacked a flag since Biden won the election.

I've heard they put Blue Lives Matter stickers on their cars to get the police to leave them alone. But if you put a gun sticker on your car, will the police actually leave you alone, or think twice about pulling you over, or just blow you away because you were driving 5 MPH over the speed limit?

Bonus: I have a neighbor who has been flying a full-sized Ukrainian flag upside-down since February 2022.

I also once saw someone with a tiny house like sort of tucked behind everyone else's, but he managed to put a flagpole in his yard and get like, an American flag, an Israeli flag, and a Blue Lives Matter flag all on that pole. Very impressive brainworms

Sometimes when I see a Thin Blue Line flag I remember that this flag got people arrested for "flag desecration" in 1904:

Just watched the documentary "Jesus Camp" for the first time. And there's a scene where before a meal the family is like "OK it's time to do the pledge of allegiance!" and I was like my god how insufferable these people must be. Then they whipped out Christian Nation flags and recited the US pledge of allegiance but with the words changed to be hyper-christian instead. It was awful.

Dude Jesus camp is a fucking trip I recommend anyone who hasn’t seen it to watch it

Remember when you're watching that those people did not just suddenly vanish when Bush II left office

No one who flies the American flag is not a reactionary, and this includes patsocs.

Sometimes I think it'd be funny to get a flag pole and fly the American flag so low it hangs on the ground unless the wind is really strong liberty-weeping

Flags are just posting for them, little do they realize that the best part is posting is the anonymity

Funny about the blue lives matter stickers, I remember it used to be FOP stickers. Knew at least one person with one.

c/w deathNot sure how reactionary they were but as a teen visiting family in rural TN, sometime between 2008-2010, I talked to their neighbor who was a firefighter. The dude was stoned, playing Flight Sim on a bunch of CRTs and recounted this crash that had killed a driver of a pickup with a amerikkka flag and some gruesome anti-abortion flag. Got rear ended going down a mountain in the winter and the car ended up partly in the bed, brought the pole down through the cab and into the driver's head killing them.

I remember visiting America and seeing Taiwan flags. I got excited because I thought I could meet someone from my country but then it ended up being a middle aged white couple. This has happened a few times. It is weird for them to have our flag and they are not even from Taiwan.
