I agree that Mc is made up bullshit

Boy do I have bad news for you about every other word that exists in every single language. There is no word tree we harvest fresh ripe new words from, everything is made up. We are just meat squirting air through our various holes because we like the sounds they make and wish to communicate thought.

In addition to what @Pons_Aelius replied, it is also used as a benchmark/flex for computers, as to who can build a beefy enough machine or good enough card to calculate more digits of pi.

The answer to your question is as simple as it is unsatisfying. Additional degrees of precision in construction are only as useful as your means to use them.

If you using your saw can only cut to an accuracy of 1/8 of an inch, than any precision beyond that point is lost as you are unable to actualize it

However if you are using a saw and you're now at the point of your personal skill that you're measuring to the inside or outside of the mark on a ruler, then it is likely time for you to graduate between more precise form of measurement.

This video covers a lot of the interesting points around measurement and how we can never truly be perfectly accurate with any measurement of any non-discreet metric.

To give a real world example if you are off by a millimeter diameter when building a car engine cylinder it will likely fail.

What word your looking for is a shibboleth, which of course is itself a shibboleth.

You could argue that these two are very closely related things.

If you want the opposite the modded storyteller Perry Persistent is basically Randy, but sends daily events to keep you on your toes.

Eternal Boots and Xerician robes?

I just finished building a model of a pirate ship and want the flags to be pointing the right direction. Should the flags be blowing to the bow because the wind is behind the ship, or to the stern as the ship drags the sails along?

Looking at paintings they seem to mostly be blowing to the stern, however there are some that have them blowing to the bow aswell; so I figured it'd be best to ask people who have experience.

What are you currently passionate about it interested in? What are some cool things about that thing, or interesting stuff that you've learned?

To start things off, I've recently gotten back into Legos for the first time since I was a child and dragged my SO in with me. We've been building sets together, posing them, and decorating my apartment with some of them like the autumn center piece and bonsai tree. I'm also starting to show them how you can mix things together or go off script, changing and customizing a set to fit your own needs or tastes. It's been really fun and I'd recommend it if you are looking for something to do with someone else.

I've also gotten into professional wrestling for the first time and been having a blast. My SO used to watch WWE/WWF as a kid and I asked them to watch a pay per view with me and it was like they got ripped back in time, getting super hype and cheering on the people they wanted to win. We've now started watching AEW and it's been really fun when they point out the people that they recognize from when they were a kid and what they think of them.
