Quantity is a quality by its own right. The fact Russians are losing their tanks to drones that cost less than 1000 dollar probably is making a lot of military people antsy.

"stealing" implies the owner does not have it anymore... It is large studio speak.

And I get what you are trying so say, I just think the copyright system is so broken that this shows it is in need of reform. Because if the qualm is with people doing immoral shit as a business model, there are long lists of corporations that will ask you to hold their beer.

And the fact that the training of the models already occurred on these materials means that the owners of the current models are probably training on generated datasets meaning that by the time this actually hits court, the datasets with original copyrighted materials will be obsolete.

And also what kind of unconventional way their capabilities can be leveraged. A nice 1 - 2 punch combined with patriot or something.

It will be interesting to see.

Closing the door behind the ones that already did it means only the current groups that have the data will make money of it.

We can only hope he does. More people move over to mastodon with large companies running their own instances in the ecosystem.

This would allow for a federated broadcast system similar to how Twitter is now used, but if mastodon gets critical mass and governments start using it like they do Vichy Twitter it would be great news.

If that leads to some extra government grants for the further development of mastodon and the fediverse... Possibly even under the guise of standing up to big american tech.. we all win.

But if he does, he signed the Death warrant of his own platform. A lot of governments and mega corps are there because of users. Governments will all need to replace it immediately if they find out their main broadcasting platform could be turned off tomorrow.

Google has to allow users to separate accounts on their services. It's probably a popup that asks if you want to keep it all in one account or use a separate account for YouTube.

Oooohhh "a deal". I read that as a negotiated settlement not as letting them of the hook with some kind of sweetheart deal.

No the UK has shat the bed themselves, now they lie in it. If they want to be part of the single market or rejoin, then through the processes that exist for that.

All enforcement is underfunded except the armed law enforcement against citizens. The enforcement of laws and corporations should be beefed up. And the start from big to small. Now enforcement just focusses on small companies as they don't have big legal teams and can be bullied into submission.

Have you seen those horrible things. The people that thought that was an option are insane.

Why? Plenty of other flavors. The EU has partner countries with free access to the market and no voting rights. Countries with expedited customs. Rejoining would need to go though the normal process.

They will be there .. Dutch government finished all the burocratic hupla. I think the biggest issue is basing the planes in Ukraine. I'll expect some to be stationed in the EU and Ukraine rotating them out for big maintenance. And keeping it in the news is a part of the media strategy too.
