got really tired of the "-core" haters, they seem to get upset only at the naming convention because hardcore influences often make a subgenre even heavier

like have you ever heard of mathcore?? that shits peak, its one of the noisiest subgenres i know AND it has hardcore influence

gatekeepers can stay mad

Three Body Problem is great for if you want more world-oriented experiences than character-oriented ones. The character in focus changes often and sometimes harshly, but I feel it's in service of the plot and feels great.

my dad always taught me its better to drive predictably than drive politely, i try to embody that

id argue a police officers job is hard in a police state as well,

i of course agree with acab but i also think its worth empathizing with officers whose mental health has been ruined by their training (see That Dang Dad on youtube who WAS a police officer and still experiences the pain of his "training"). theyre trained to be afraid and see danger everywhere, which is fucked, and as such being a police officer is not a job with 0 drawbacks. we all hate police, i sure as hell do, but no one should be trained to live in permanent fear, seeing murderers in everyone.

politely, i think you messed up

speaking as someone who gets horribly anxious in similar situations, being flirted with is one reliable way to take it from anxiety to panic attack

i think of the consent system of bdsm in situations like this, where crying should be interpreted as someone saying red light or another safeword. when tears are involved, or someone is disturbed in that way, (for lack of a better way of expressing this) fuck your emotions. turn off everything but the parts of your brain that handle caring for someone.

since you're here, i dont think this is hopeless at all though, youre willing to change and want to understamd what you did wrong. i commend you for that, and i hope you remember the "red light" idea for next time something similar happens.

sexual fantasies and high sex drive are perfectly fine as long as you keep it to consenting parties, no shame in experiencing these things

i imagine regular masturbation would help somewhat but its up to you and how much time you have tbh

the thing to always remember is that these fantasies and this sex drive dont mean anything about your morality, and dwelling on it will likely make you worry more.

actually a masterpiece of a game, the campaign is so unbelievably worth it, just keep in mind the vanilla multiplayer is unplayable due to ddosing. if you want to play multiplayer, look into the northstar client

I see the word comrade get passed around a lot on the internet, particularly lemmy, and I've never really known the lore behind it. The only association I have with the word is that it's a word I primarily see used by tankies (as in, authoritarian leftists who hate on authoritarianism in the west but not in the east). Does anyone know and can explain it in a relatively understandable way?

MEOW!!!! MROEOWOWWWWW!!!!!!

I'm fairly new to piracy overall, but I feel like I understand the basics of how to avoid my ISP and such. A family member who's in college texted me the other day asking how she could pirate textbooks and I realized I'd never thought about it. Any tips for pirating textbooks? Safe sites?
