A friend of mine who was learning English said that translating song lyrics from her native language into English really helped, 'cause you have to kind of get the meaning across and not just a literal translation of the words. Dunno if it works for everyone but she swore by it!

It's probably just the Sealion making an appearance.

I don't think it'd even need a hacker. If previous performance is anything to go by, either an MP will leave it on a train or they'll just sell it to some corporation eventually.

Fuck off, Tony

There is SoloKey, which is an open-source version of YubiKey. Although full disclosure, I haven't actually tried it myself so I can't really vouch for it personally.

Also Gen X UK person here, I remember in the 90s when that hurricane made it over from the US, and we had no power for 9 days.

My dad went full survivalist, we ate nothing but baked beans cooked on a camping stove, and he got this portable black and white TV from somewhere that we could watch for an hour a day because it ran off a car battery lol.

I fired off the dirtiest vote today. I'm not a huge fan of Starmer but I hate the Tories much more, and they recently changed the rules so if you've been abroad for more than 15 years you're allowed to vote again.

So I sent a 100% tactical fuck-you vote from overseas via proxy, motivated by nothing more than wanting to join in kicking the shit out of the Tories while they're already down.

Greasy as hell but I regret nothing lol

Yeah I don't really like it either, but TBH things are so bad that just destroying the Tories is good enough for me this time around.

Hopefully they'll be radioactively unelectable for a really long time, and we can push it in a better direction over the next couple of elections.

Bernie will be 87 in 2028.

Disco Elysium is 90% off. ~~$54.49~~ $4.54 (that's in Canadian, not sure about the US price exactly.)

I honestly couldn't even tell you what it's about, but it's one of my favourite games ever. You can die from reading a book that's too sad and if you do it right, you can smell communism.

On the stream of the debate I was watching, when they took a break they showed clips from previous debates and the difference was kind of mind-blowing.

I honestly kind of think that even a mid-level candidate who didn't make it like Romney or Kerry probably could have mopped the floor with either one of them.

Also as a side note, how lucky is Donald Trump? Just a whole life of being handed infinite money no matter how many times he fucked up a business, a bewildering assortment of crimes with essentially no hard consequences, and two presidential runs against pretty much the only two people he has any chance of beating in a debate.

He's had a life of almost non-stop softballs. It's kind of wild really.
