Good to hear. All the best!

Thanks for sharing about Sublinks. It still has the mouse(?) Lemmy icon BTW. Hopefully, they'll keep the Federation issues in priority. E.g. this (see pic) - I can never see what pic/video is posted on a Lemmy instance. Just this attachment icon and a 'blank'.

Praveen - u_tamtam mentioned what I have been thinking about Prav - what's the rationale for it to exist and why should I choose it over the original?

/Of course, I appreciate the work you and the other volunteers are doing to spread the awareness of XMPP, Privacy, and Security (in India).

They just couldn’t because computers weren’t powerful enough yet

Yahoo and ISPs like AOL tried that. And were partly successful. Yahoo was the 'literally' the home page for 90% of Internet users. In India, ISPs were decentralized but it's only JIO or Airtel now, if you 24x7 service and connectivity.

Hmm. It has never failed me. You're using this, I guess?

I actually find the watch history useful as it has search in it. It's like enabling your browser history On. "What was that video/webpage? I recall the keyword but forgot the name of the video (or webpage)."

Also, I hardly visit the site except for links shared so the home page recommendations don't bother me and aren't of much use to me.

Mid-managers are being given extra allowances for 'team outings'. Then there's 'free breakfast' and other 'free' things. Finally, managers are also being evaluated for the number of people in their team that they can get to come to the office - the more people in their team they can get to come to office, the more pat on the back they get.

It's no longer a debate of whether you are productive at home or in office. They just want you back in office. Simple as that. The why? I don't know.

/Friend works in corporate real estate. "Employees in IT companies just don't want to go back and it's a HUGE headache for companies.." is what he told me (roughly).

Yeah 20 something - "Sophomore at some Uni".

Don't be so hard on yourself. I didn't level out emotionally until 35. Many people at 40.

calckey dev

Is it that person whose name starts with a K? That fellow blocked my server when I had innocently mentioned that the Fedi software I use also has all the features that they're talking about. Of course, after spewing a whole gamut expletives and abusive words. Certainly didn't miss out on anything.

If I were a user of that server, I would run away - AVOID servers where the admins can't maintain their cool, remain calm and collected and take things personally - think of how they would react if you say something against a decision they make.

Been a long time since I had one - milk or ice cream. My lactose intolerance is super bad up. Most Indians I know (e.g. my parents) still maintain that we can digest milk in its raw form when we can't, genetically. Oh well!
