Why do unqualified idiots always wind up in charge?

A Reichtangle, obviously.

not for me, there's not.

That dude should not have put up with that.

80% of our machines were hit. We were working through 9pm on Friday night running around putting in bitlocker keys and running the fix. Our organization made it worse by hiding the bitlocker keys from local administrators.

Also gotta say... way the boot sequence works, combined with the nonsense with raid/nvme drivers on some machines really made it painful.

Driving is a privilege, not a right and the test needs to reflect that.

That may actually provide some impetus to properly fund them so that they can fulfill their agency mission, then.

Most of them don't have the resources and access to the professionals they need to get it done. Sure, self-serving managerial incompetence really doesn't help to move projects along or retain talent either.

Really wish we'd get some nice, fast RISC-V base boards with a nice amount of flash memory paired with a cool round LCD display..keep patrolling CNX for the parts but they don't seem to be quite there yet.

Men generally do not have community spaces or social support networks at this moment in history. It's something that urgently needs a social movement to address that also doesn't involve bigotry, flag-waving or outright nazism as an antidote.

I am glad you didn't kill yourself, too. Stay strong.

This.

The trend to moving to discord is crappy for numerous reasons - the biggest one because i refuse to supply a phone number as the price of admission. Second, it's hard to find and search through old content on the platform. It's just a crap, proprietary rehash of IRC.

I'm sure it's great to be on the white-hot front of development for new projects, but to name a few... Podman, PipeWire, Etcd.... full documentation is patchy at best, a lot of common use cases aren't answered unless you find something on the Arch Wiki (for instance) - They're all great projects, but goddamn is it hard to find simple answers, and the more stuff moves off of github issues or forums and onto shit like discord, the less easy it is to even get a grip on the problem.

The riots are coming.

Yeah, kinda funny how it's OK when there's a bunch of neoliberal gangsters like larry summers behind it, right?
