As Peppycito said, they don't make sparks, which is important if you're working somewhere that could have explosive fumes. The lanyard is traditional for sailors' tools to prevent loss as well as dropping it on someone below. Mostly decorative now but it's convenient to be able to let go of the tool if you need both hands for something.

Been wanting a prybar to go with my copper EDC stuff for a while but I was worried copper wouldn't be strong enough. Found this old wrench on ebay for $10 and modified it for my needs. Left one of the wrench jaws on there so there's two ways to use it as a prybar. The spike end is rounded enough to probably not tear through a pocket but tapered enough to splice rope or tighten knots. Ended up being 5 1/2" which is a nice size.

I used to be mostly into teas, but my wife has always been into coffee. I work night shift so I figured it would be nice if I brewed her a cup in the mornings and save her the time getting ready. I've learned a lot about brewing coffee and found a brand that I like but she isn't as into it and doesn't really have a brand she likes. She used to just get a random bag of pre-ground from the grocery store and add sweetener and creamer or almond milk until it was palatable but she's trying to cut down on that stuff.

Does anyone know of a good sampler of whole beans that is somewhat representative of the varieties, origins, and roasts to hopefully narrow down someone's preference?

Not a terrible position to watch while spooning maybe?

That association was intentional. At the time, clean food wasn't a given.

I meant more like Shaq with a 2x4 vs eight Gary Colemans with nunchucks, but that was a good show at the time

Good point and all, but my first thought was that it could finally tell me who would win in various hypothetical fights lol

I meant that if you have a dedicated GPU, I think you can update your bios either way. My understanding was that the warning was because you wouldn't be able to get graphics output with an old bios version that didn't support the igpu

I've been out of the loop for a bit, so I could be wrong, but I think that warning is specifically about using the integrated graphics on the processor and isn't a concern if you have a dedicated GPU.

As far as RAM goes, I went with 32GB when I built my system but I've never used more than 16 that I'm aware of and I have three monitors full of Firefox and chrome windows and tabs, a cluster of background programs, live wallpaper, and a custom rainmeter interface.

I'm sure that's accurate enough for some subs but it's hard to make broad statements about reddit with so many communities. Your experience was whatever you curated for yourself unless you're one of the weirdos that browsed by All
