The country has placed the entire fate of climate change into the hands of Musk. Obviously Musk would never give up the opportunity for contracts out of petty squabbles, but such incompetence gives him a leverage because basically the economy relies on his dumbass company

Has decolonization occurred in countries where the colonized are the minority though?

Besides that, though, it's a false sense of class divide if you think the median earner at $38,000 per year is living some luxurious life thanks to imperialism. The tragedy is that more Americans who aren't in the upper echelons of wealth/income don't recognize that and have solidarity with their fellow exploited workers in the global south.

That’s the thing. You don’t need to believe someone on a $38,000 salary is living luxuriously. Only that person needs to believe it, or at least believe they can reach luxury. Things are bad in the US, but most people chug along because “things could be worse” and they don’t want to jeopardize that security

99% of them. And I’m being generous because 1% of americans is like 3 million people, and I’m not even sure if even that much would be willing to give up the plunder.

Lol depending on what OP means by “quick,” I don’t think learning how to become an electrician will be helpful in the short term.

You don’t need to hold places up depending on who’s working. If they’re lanky and alone you can can probably just hop over and take stuff without interacting with them lol. But you’ll be putting them on edge anyway if you walk in with masks and hoodies

But if you don’t want to risk felonies stealing money, you can just take the weed and resell it.

The trick to not being disappointed is never expecting good things from corporate tech workers in the first place

I was laughing my ass off in almost every episode in season 11 because Dennis seemed to be at his absolute peak antisocial personality. Most of the show was coherent and flowed well. The characters were narcissistic, scratched libs and constantly concern trolling each other. Things were largely grounded in reality.

Then season 12 and up, things just got weird and tiresome to watch. Like things just happen back to back and everything is grandiose. The character development is undeserved because they cram in so much shit in 20 minutes (like the episode of Mac coming out as gay is just Frank yelling the same thing for 20 minutes then Mac dances. Come on. They had a whole season to build up to it and instead they just did this shit). It feels like I’m watching Uncut Gems but instead of being stressed out, I’m just annoyed by the wild stories and annoying characters. Like the one episode of season 16 parodies the anal vibrator chess scandal because the scheme is…?

And now the gang is soft as hell and actually getting offended as opposed to be socially conscious for their own agendas. And honestly, I think they could’ve dulled out the characters if they played it out right, like with how Dennis wanted to be a family man, that’s a valid path to make him less antisocial and misogynistic, and proceed to do this one by one for each character then ending the show.

I felt like the little commentary they had about the post-9/11 zeitgeist in the early seasons was funny and subtle at times. But it seems like the trump era really made everyone fucking annoying. Somehow they managed to fumble the plot line about the gang being responsible for the boater coup at the capitol which should’ve flowed naturally with the show.

How can you only assume you’ll win? It’s not like democrats are willing to play dirty against republicans so there’s no guarantee either. You demand my unquestioned loyalty yet you’re so bad at politicking. Of course, I’m not here to pretend democratic politicians are weak or dumb. They’re just evilly indifferent.

Can’t stop thinking about this one particular incident, but I’m sure there were worse that I’ve forgotten about. Let me explain

Several years ago, I was in a packed classroom of like 100 something students. Mostly female, some male. Anyway, the older professor made some reference to either Jerry Lewis or Jerry Lee Lewis, and said we probably don’t understand because we’re too young (it was a freshman class). Then he asked if anyone has heard of him.

I was the only one who raised my hand, thinking Jerry (Lee) Lewis was Richard Lewis from Curb Your Enthusiasm, which I have watched.

Immediately I started doubting myself because I wonder why his fame and influence was never referenced in the show, if he’s seemingly so important. I didn’t feel like a fraud because my confusion was honest, but I feel like other people thought I was a fraud or kiss ass. Sitting all the way in the front didn’t help either.

Or course, no one remembers except me. But I have a habit of misremembering things then saying I have done xyz or heard abc before when in reality we’re thinking of two different things.
