Monterey Jack was named after a town in California and the guy who sold the cheese, David Jacks, so half yes. I'm not entirely sure the origins of Monterey, CA's name so it could be like a three quarters yes.
Why would you need to defend yourself for ordering a pizza and being shocked by the high price? Sometimes I think I've gotten too old for the internet. Words don't need to be blanket censored on the internet.
