You should be concerned regardless. He is backed by considerably smarter people whose agenda is way worse than last time. Regardless if Trump pays attention or not the worst people will be unhindered. He isn't even a blocking element to those people taking power because Trump is at worst a rubber stamp and more likely a corpse given his age and lifestyle.
Short version, there isn't even a remote, barely visible silver lining.
Is it common? This article is clear but is one case. The fact, as the article shares, that the Biden campaign quickly paid the bill further brings to question the "common" stance - in that they paid when they became aware. Maybe the mayoral staff over the last 8 years just aren't that good at getting their bills paid.

Hate to break it to you, but those conservatives spent decades transforming the Republican party into what it is today. It would be unfair to dismiss their years of focus on indoctrinating and cultivating hate and fear.

To be fair, the LiDAR was primarily used for parking. Still a stupid decision to remove it. There were plenty of values it provides...but those cars were never going to drive themselves even if they did have LiDAR.
If they had work done, they might not be "naturally" beautiful. Probable better to just say "No, I don't believe you. You don't look like you had any work done."
