There's a difference between WMDs that can reach the US, and ones that can only be deployed locally. Russia has the former (and a lot of them), hence no invasion.
It's also cooler because the temperature is lower.
The two parts are actually Israel and Hamas. If Israel wants peace, there's not much the US is going to do to force them to keep fighting. And conversely, if Hamas doesn't want peace, there's nothing the US can do (short of entering the war directly) to keep Israel from fighting back. It's all up to Israel and Hamas. The US (and Iran on the other side) are secondary players.
I think that's the biggest part. Tesla gained it's huge market share by having the right product at the right time with the right company image. Tesla should have been focusing on fixing their quality issues, and should have either booted Musk or chained a PR person to his side. Instead they put out the Cybertruck, which is divisive at best, and have a CEO who seems to be doing everything he can to destroy the good will of their core market.
It was inevitable that the mainstream manufacturers would catch up.
My current tech philosophy is "dumb devices, smart switches". So many times the "smart" portion of things shits the bed, is rendered obsolete, broken by some other change I made, etc, and then the whole device is rendered useless. Life has gotten so much easier once I dedicated one device to one task.
Could be good for things like the creative writing subreddits, where interaction is secondary
I have zero interest in allowing Chinese automakers to have independent access to the Canadian market as long as long as other auto manufacturers don't enjoy the same access to the Chinese market.
It's also very important to understand that by the time this comic was made, the actual oil had almost nothing to do with it. The US has been a net exporter for a while now, and the majority of oil imports are coming from Canada.
A lot of people who are staying at those hotels and bothering with the continental breakfast are there for work, not vacation.
For the next election maybe. It's too late for this one.
