They charge a subscription fee for mental health?

Oh. Oh God damnit.

Again you're putting logic in an equation where it may not exist. I'm also not disagreeing with you, but people tend to make connections where they don't/shouldn't exist.

I mean, can you really call it unnatural overall if people have a desire to connect to and with others - even if it's not fully logical. Emotions can be far from logical.

There's definitely some water in those!

Some companies in the US have a deal to where they match on 401k. One such organization puts in 5% for your 2%. Two percent is low enough it wouldn't be a hit to almost any cash in your pocket given that the money is taken out pre tax.

I work healthcare adjacent and some providers were affected as expected. Hoping as well that those critical systems were not, but that chance is non zero.

There's no technical reason for 320 CBR but the space loss from a VBR ~224 encode to the CBR 320 is minimal compared to 320 vs flac around 1000. I do keep two copies of my collection for space reasons though - one in flac and one at 320. My phone is still a limiting factor to from a space perspective, I can't store my entire collection on it in flac but I do choose to use it where I'm actively listening to an album through the weeks. The rest can be mp3 because it's usually a single song that gets in my head.

I've taken several mental health days in my lifetime of work. I cannot imagine not having that as an option especially when you know you cannot mentally work.

Haha fuck my bad... Had the daily show on my mind.

There's still some use cases for sure. My 4 gig Garmin running watch (2.5 usable) might play flac but I want more than a few albums on it.

Just a few tips for installing on a Sophos SG135 (and perhaps others in the Sophos family?) using the serial build via usb

  1. Sophos device starts at 38400,n,8,1 as com settings. OPNsense switches to 115200 after bios. If you set your session to 115200 prior to OPNsense taking over, this causes PuTTY to not be able to input keyboard characters until you kill and re-open the session. Something happens in the transition on either serial interface to cause problems.

  2. Perform the auto detection of interfaces. For some reason I got screwed up on the interfaces and couldn't for the life of me get LAN to come up to configure the box. I believe this was twofold: one, the interfaces were all down when I configured them - and two, that caused them to go into a state to where even if 'ifconfig' showed active as I moved my cabling around, pings would not work (LAN). Once I redid the usb live and utilized the auto detection feature properly, no issues occurred.

Hope this helps someone who may run into similar issues.
