Gonna say image might have been edited. I found the shirt on Amazon and the one review posted doesn’t say this, though to be fair it could have been removed or edited itself. Entertaining post at the very least.

While im not a fan of the capacitive buttons on the steering wheel, I’ve gotten used to them and havent had any issues. That said, if there’s some sort of recall that swaps it out for a wheel with regular buttons, im down for that. I saw some of the newer VWs had physical buttons again, i wonder if it is just as easy to sawp like my MKV Rabbit from the bare bones to a R32 wheel?

Now the capacitive buttons below the screen could f right off lol. I barely use them. I tend to rest my hand on the top of the screen and use my thumb to navigate where i need to go. Thanks above for the travel assist mode.

Isn’t there settings so that you can stage out updates? Could have sworn they had settings that you could set groups to be on specific waves of updates. I.e. newest, next to newest, 2 versions behind, etc.

Going back over the article pointed out that those vouchers are available to families that never sent their kiddos to a public schools, so that means the state is likely subsidizing more than expected. The ESA program gives parents $7k according to the article.

Google search for Arizona brings up educating elementary kiddos cos the state ~$8,600 per student so just on that, if an existing student transfers out of public and i to a private school, i guess they “save” $1,600 dollarsper kiddo that way.

Now the parents get that $7k for private or homeschooling, but another search advised that the average private elementary school was between $9,600-$10,600 a year. So that’s a good few grand extra that the parents have to fork out, unless they were already sending the kiddos there, then the money was already expected to be spent by the parents. Especially considering schools could cost much higher (an almost $30k example was given on the high end). I doubt those parents would even have considered sending their kids to public school if they be spending that much money.

To be fair, i wouldn’t blame any of the parents taking advantage of the program, it just ends up hurting the other kids in the public school as budget shortfalls start accumulating and programs and offerings have to be cut to balance the budgets. Then the district will ask for a tax increase, and in especially red areas, i wonder how that would go?

At minimum there should be rules in place to prevent abuse, I don’t have faith that would happen.

Or am I missing something?

They’ve been whacking away a smaller groups since the SCOTUS decision. There’s been announcements of those groups over the last couple of years and (by their account) still working on a big one that adheres to the SCOTUS ruling in the case that should not have been, from Texas.

I get emails from the DoE every once in a while that gives updates as well. My wife benefited from one of the rounds, while I (with a much higher balance) have not. If I benefit, it will be a huge lift off my back, but if not I’m not about to deride those who were able to be freed from the debt.

This reminds me of a couple of posts where someone was complaining about how fast food workers were starting to make almost as much as them. One take was to be happy more people are getting paid better, and the other was that someone needs to talk to their management on getting some raises.

I’d hazard for the second one we (the public) need to get people voted in with the objective of being more socially minded rather than those trying to shit on “others”. The MTGs and Gaetzs’ of the political world are not interested in helping others, we need more AOCs and Bernies.

Curious how much these “vouchers” give, and how much the private tuition is nowadays. I’m gonna guess that its not going to be enough, so what do the lower income parents do?

When my parents sent me to a catholic high school (i did not want to go to) they were paying about 10k a year, and that was 20 years ago. That school had hardly any of the learning opportunities the public high school did (it has always been very well funded).

The public school system my kiddo goes to is also well funded and the admins there are very supportive. When we moved mid year all we had to do is fill out a form and if there was room (there was) my kiddo was still able to go to his old school. Granted the new one is literally down the street but we wanted him to finish out the year with his existing friends.

Idk, there’s forms and a process for requesting a inter district move on our kiddos school district site regardless of reason. Heck I’ve got two other public school systems near me that I could apply to send my kiddo to if i had to. We’d just be responsible for transport if approved in that case.

Health Care “System” I worked for tracked and audited this automatically. Could only access patient data of patients you were assign and the software tracked how often and when the data was accessed. Had a nurse almost get canned because the software showed that she was accessing a patient’s data outside of hours she would have been seeing the patient. Turns out her install was buggy. Forgot what exactly it was that cleared her.

But yeah, I’d have to think the records of the president would have much more security lol. Or maybe not?

Me? I’d vote for him. Liked what I saw while he was in congress. Still think it was bs how he was pushed out before any actual investigation was done, if memory serves me correctly.
