Not really, I have played it years ago without playing the Drakengard series and only a couple things late game didn't click for me because of that.

People will always suffer. There’s a multitude of variables as to why people around the world suffer.

Let's take a step back. Why does the majority of people suffer under capitalism? Because they have to live in a world where they don't get good, free healthcare, don't have a right to a house, don't earn nearly enough to live comfortably, don't have enough vacation, can't afford to take a trip, don't have time to enjoy their lives, are alienated from their work, have shitty jobs, work too much, etc, etc, etc.

That creates a necessity for charities for all the basic stuff everyone should have, but doesn't currently have. If we give free good healthcare for everyone, the need for charities to threat people disappears. If we give everyone a home, the need for charities for homeless people, disappear.

Okay, so how about they don’t donate to charities… no more technical advancement in medicine, so people can be poor and die from disease.

What??? You do know that most breakthrough advancements doesn't come from the private initiative right? It comes mainly from public, government expending, into research. This idea that private entities advance society is just a liberal propaganda lie that is peddled to us all the time since birth.

Charities isn’t something you enforce or eliminate. It is a free choice to give. Mandate it and you’re just legalizing theft by the authority.

I'm not talking about making charities illegal, I, like every other communist in the world, am talking about solving the issue at it's roots, eliminating capitalism, and that requires eliminating exploitation through labor and eliminating the rich and insanely wealthy as a class.

They donate not because of the goodness in their heart, but because they get tax cuts from it.

Furthermore, what does donation really accomplish when:

  1. People are still suffering, regardless of how many charities there are and how much money they get;

  2. Those wealthy donors are the reason people continue poor since they are only wealthy by exploiting other people's work.

Charities shouldn't need to exist in the first place.

All three are absolutely fantastic.

For me I think I would put Shadow of the Erdtree at the top, because of the sheer volume of content and ambience it added to the game. I absolutely loved all the main remembrance bosses and the new locations added. Rauh was so different from previous locations From did and so good that I now want a jungle themed game from them so bad. I also love the last boss fight, it was challenging as hell.

Ringed City and Old Hunters are tied for me. Like I absolutely love Ringed City, the last boss fight with Gael and how it finished the series, but Old Hunters made me fall in love with Bloodborne, even tho I was so over leveled for it I demolished the DLC. I absolutely love the Fishing Hamlet, it made me feel like I was inside a Lovecraft book.

Yeah yeah, continue to spout your anti-communist propaganda. You already live in a dictatorship, you're just to propagandized to realize it.

The only dictatorship we want is that of the proletariat, as opposed to the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie. That is, a true popular democracy.

Maybe listen to what other people have to say and go read communist theory before saying anything you don't know about.

As it stands your position is not left in any stretch of the imagination.

I don't know any that are as big as Bethesda games or Minecraft modding scenes, not even close, but FromSoftware games tend to have some really big mods that changes lots of stuff, never got to play any of them other than a bit of one that recently came out for DS3, but is something I want to do after I'm done with Shadow of the Erdtree.

Other than that Valheim seems to have some interesting ones too. Guilty Gear Strive have a lot of alt colors/costumes you can mod into the game.

Oh a big one is The Binding of Isaac, there is a shit ton of mods on the Steam Workshop, I tend to use a lot of non-gameplay mods there. The modding scene in this one is unique and tends to be quite friendly. There's a lot of fun and quality work on there.

The Binding of Isaac with all the DLCs. I really mean it. It's the most replayable game I ever played, not only that, but there's tons of mods on the Steam Workshop too.

I don't think any other roguelike comes close in just the sheer amount of things to do and see in this game. I've been playing on and off for years, have more than 500 hours and I still have challenges to complete, characters and items to unlock and item synergies to see.

I gotta get back into Ultrakill, I really wanted to start P-Ranking to get to the big boss fights.

It's absolutely great! I don't mind the noise cause I really like the feeling of the buttons. My gripe with it is that their software only runs on Windows, it sucks to have to boot a VM to be able to configure the buttons, at least it lets me configure 4 different profiles. I also saw they just released the Vader 4 Pro, looks cool but doesn't seem like a big upgrade.

Can China clone a controller with hall effect sticks and decent build quality because the build quality of controllers PS4/XB1/Switch and up has been noticeably worse.

They already do. I bought a Flydigi Vader 3 Pro at the end of last year and it has been amazing so far. Still feels like new and I use it a lot. There's also other highly regarded controllers like those from GuliKit and from 8bitdo.

Yeah everyone is gonna have a different degree of challenge because of their own familiarity and skill level, I meant more that it is the exact same game at the exact same difficulty setting for everyone. FromSoftware games rely a lot on overcoming challenges and the feeling that comes with that.

Knowing everyone else have the same settings across the board and struggle some way or another justifies their design choice in my eyes. It is very efficient in making you feel like you are truly getting better, progressing and that you are overcoming impossible walls.

I'm sure they are able to, but it's not the type of game they want to do. Instead they prefer to give tools for players to make their experience easier or harder, like, in Elden Ring, you can summon spirits, play co-op and use other stuff like magic, craft consumable buffs and throwing items to make the game easier for you. Everyone is facing the same challenge, but the tools they choose to use will make it easier or harder to tackle any giving situation.

The developers of the game have a clear vision of how they want their game to be difficulty-wise and I don't think sticking to that is a problem, it's their intended way of experiencing the game and making sure everyone, regardless of anything, are in the same playing field, difficulty options are not necessarily about accessibility, it depends entirely on the intention of the developers.

There's a lot of other options you can have on your game for people with all sorts of needs and necessities, just look at recent Sony games for example, and From Software sucks on that front, they desperately need to put more accessibility options for those that need it.

Judging from even the g*mer places A LOT of people who would like to play have problem with the difficulty level.

If you're talking about Elden Ring/Souls games specifically, I'm gonna be honest, this whole reputation of them being this "difficult, brutal, unrelenting, unforgiving" games is mostly wrong. It's mostly just a different type of gameplay loop than other type of games. And yeah, it can be difficult depending on a lot of factors like the level of familiarity someone has with playing games, more specifically 3D games, or someone's tolerances, preferences and mood. There are things in these games that are made to be difficult, like a specific area or boss, but it's not nearly as close to what people make it seem to be, it's just different from other types of games.

Hey comrades, how do you deal with bigotry irl?

I'm really sick of so many people around me just saying some LGBTphobic, misogynistic or racist shit. It's bad enough seeing it all over social media everyday, but irl it's even worse. And I can't bring myself to confront anyone about it, be it in person or in a voice call. I don't even know how to confront this type of behavior, what to say, what tone to use, which expressions to make. The few times I managed to do it I was either mocked or met with verbal resistance.

It also doesn't help that my city is very right-wing to say the least, it's like no one I know even think about any of this. It's honestly so tiring.
