It’s nuts that companies really think that a subscription fee + ads is something that is reasonable.

But crazier is the mass of idiots who go for it without question.

Though, I was raised in a household that didn’t have cable growing up and when we did (my mom won a contest and we got cable for free for 1 year) we were all surprised that people legit pay a monthly fee for cable and endure ads as much as what we got on network TV.

You can’t have it both ways. Either I’m being shown ads to pay for the content you are providing to me at no monetary cost directly to me or I pay to avoid being bombarded with ads. There is no middle ground between the two. I will never pay for the privilege of obnoxious ads, even if there is a higher tier without ads.

Miss me with that bullshit.

Store bought anything is pretty bad nowadays, at least speaking as an American.

Produce often has listeria, ecoli, salmonella, etc outbreaks, it’s ridiculous. Extends to eggs, spinach, lettuce, radishes…anything. Going vegan doesn’t solve this problem unless you’re only eating what you grow at home.

Just curious what an inverted reality of ours would be like, where instead of having too much carbon dioxide in the atmosphere creating glasshouse gas effect, what would the inverse be like where we don’t have enough carbon dioxide in our atmosphere? What would the climate of earth be like?

And the cycle continues…

I’m sorry for your loss. But I’m glad your buddy had a loving home until their last breath. They knew love and comfort and a safe place to call home.

My cat is around 13 years old and while he’s still youthful and plays, I worry about this day that is inevitably coming soon.

I’ve lost other pets in the past and it’s hard but we usually get another after some time has passed. They never truly replace the pet that you lost, though. You sometimes think you’ll name it the same but you can’t. It’s too painful and there will only ever be one of that friend you lost.

Shortly after my dad passed, the cat we had that really loved him most would spend most of her time with me. She was an old cat and I tried my best to love on her like she did to my dad and we did have a good relationship similar to the one she had with my dad. But then on a hot summer day, I found her laying on the tile of our laundry room and not having the strength to get up and just being miserable. I knew the end was coming for her and tried making her rest there as easy as easy as possible while I found a vet. I couldn’t find anything soon so she laid there for a few days but I had an appointment lined up for later that week, think it was a Thursday. I kept a fan on her and made sure she had food and water nearby and tried feeding her and giving her water but she wouldn’t accept any of it.

The day before her vet appointment, I came home and saw my brother digging and knew what it was. She had already passed during the day while I was at work.

It’s really difficult to deal with. They’re not just some dumb animal you had around the house. They’re family and will always carry a special place in your heart.

I’m sorry for your loss and hope the best for you.

It’s funny that would be a thing when it’s been found that even the companies, themselves, like Nintendo, have been caught using pirated versions of their own games for redistribution.

Wonder if those games would get detected for the same reason.

It has a good story but ends on a cliffhanger and no sequel has officially been announced, AFAIK. So just be aware in case you decide to get involved in it.

The in-game single-use items for real money was stuff like points towards skill progression, from what I remember. I bought a day one copy and they gave me 4 of these to use but they could only be used in one save so I don’t think I ever used them.

But you can play the game and earn these naturally or possibly use cheats to gain more if desired. I’m sure something like WeMod has them to be edited in easily.

Who can blame them? Buying their competitor, Sprint, was expensive. Gotta find a way to recoup that money and who better than those customers who now have one less choice for a competitor?!

Exactly. Memes are free advertisements for them and will be reposted forever everywhere.

Almost as if it was created to cater to children? Nah…

First thing I thought. Dude sounds depressed based on the first few things.

Being loud and rude could be other things unrelated. But could be indications of someone who has given up and no longer cares what others think.

I’d probably be depressed too if I had to rely on drugs to live.

All these shitty knock offs of Steam do this and I don’t understand why it is this way. Why Steam never has this issue but every other piece of shit knock off does.

I think Epic is even worse than EA and Ubisoft’s because it also re-requires 2FA nearly every single time despite me using it in the same location it’s always being used and me checking the box to remember me.

I enabled that new setting to limit charging to 80% and it’s worked well so far but every once in a while, I catch the phone charging to above 80%. Like right now, my phone is saying it’s at 85% despite the 80% limit being enabled. I confirmed in the settings it’s still enabled and didn’t somehow get disabled.

Anyone else experiencing the same?

Mine is the iPhone 15 Pro 512GB

I have this lunch box that is huge but works really well for me. I made a mistake a few weeks ago by leaving rotten food in it over the weekend and the stench is unbearable.

This lunch box has a removable interior made of some kind of plastic so I removed it and soaked it in warm water and dish soap for 48 hours in the sink and then I scrubbed the interior with a sponge.

When I got done, it still smelled like rotten food! I also cleaned the lid which isn’t removable but made of the same material. But just used the sponge on it.

Sticking my head inside is where I smell it most, so I think it’s the removable tub.

I also tried teabags as I heard of something like this with smelly shoes, but now my lunch box smells like feet lol.

So I’m at a loss. I love this box and don’t want to trash it. It was hard finding one like it.

Anything else I can try?

Edit: thanks for the suggestions! I forgot to mention that I did put some vinegar and baking soda in last night and kept the lid closed. I’ll leave it this way until tomorrow night and see.

Thanks for the suggestions!

I noticed that I and Alexa say “six ‘oh’ five a m”, but is that the correct way of saying the time? Specifically the “oh” part?

Kind of like when speaking out a phone number, how we might say “my number is one two three, six ‘oh’ six…” but really, that’s not an “oh” like the letter O even though it looks like an O, but everyone knows the person is saying “six zero six”, which is the proper way of saying that.

Edit: thanks for all the answers everyone! This was just pure curiosity for me but I really enjoyed reading everyone’s responses and learning some new things!
