Does riding on wet Gravel suck, or is it me? Felt like I was trudging through quick sand.

Picked up a new Specialized Diverge to go along with my Allez. Moved to an area surrounded by gravel roads, so I got a gravel bike to ride on.

Did 13.8 miles this morning. Only saw 1 vehicle.

Wait....i thought it wasn't a big deal and just a friendly protest?

IT Engineer here also. I'd recommend doing something not related to tech (even though we love it). I've taken up bike riding and walking. Getting outdoors helps my anxiety a ton.

Good work dude! I'm getting back on after a year off. Don't take time off!

Whoa. Didn't know this was possible, although I only use Lemmy. Might have to check it out. I wish we could figure out how to have a global account though.

Noob road rider. Have been riding for a couple years. Switching to gravel with a Diverge E5. Any tips?

It is. I torrented for years, Usenet is so much better once setup with radarr/sonarr. So much faster

Anything by James Rebanks. His two books are on my mind a lot. It's about sheepherding in the fells of England.

CDs were more like 1992. I was around 5-6 then and distinctly remember getting Vanilla Ice's CD.

I could, and typically do break it up into a few sections. It's also about a 1500 difference between a 52 inch deck Cub Cadet and the Ego.

How does this work though for large yards(5+ acres etc)

I live on 5 acres in MN but just don't trust the electric snowblower or riding mower.

For reference I have the ego chainsaw, weed eater, leaf blower and push mower (previous house).

The push mower ate through 3 batteries easily on a small lot.

I saw the northern lights for the first time in MN this past winter (just moved here and out to the country). It was breathtaking. Something I've wanted to see my entire life and it did not disappoint. Makes me want to go further North to see it better.

It will work itself out. There have been splits in the past. /r/Indianapacers became /r/pacers and /r/prowrestling became /r/squaredcircle.

The real issue is having the same username on multiple instances. It's going to cause issues.

I'm in the market for a gravel bike. Currently riding a 2020 Specialized Allez which I love. I've moved to a rural area, hard to find routes without hitting gravel at some point.

Bike would be used on a mix of gravel + road.

Our family bought or first popup this week after being an exclusive tent family. 2005 Rockwood, in excellent condition.

Previous owners were crying as we pulled out of the driveway.

We'll be using this on any vacation we go on, typically we go to National Parks and rent AirBNB in the area. This will pay for itself after a couple of uses.

Anyone have the new Pixel tablet yet? I'm curious, can I cast music from the tablet to the speaker? Or use the speaker as a smart speaker without the tablet connected to it?
