Huh, so is he gonna stop funding genocide? Is he gonna end student loans? Let women get abortion healthcare at military bases? Stack the court? Stop giving military equipment to police? Give me $1200? Federally legalize pot and pardon all cannabis possession/distribution charges?

He barely scraped by in 2020, and that was with people expecting steps towards free college, defunding the police, freeing the migrant concentration camps, and free healthcare. Since then he has only demotivated the base.

Unless you're talking about gas giants, then a bunch of that hydrogen can be metal too.

I'm not an English teacher, but I remember and I see the problem with telling kids to sound out words; 1. Children are not taught phonemes. The word children is not Chuh iihhh lah duh rah eee nuh. Such a word is only picked up by context and memorization. 2. english doesn't actually follow any rules.

In english, words are simply pictures that hint at the pronunciation and meaning of words.

Context is infinitely more useful than the way I was taught of "letters make these sounds, and put them all together".

So would a Sqrt(john Brown)/tanks vs megagulags give us a linear graph?

Or John Brown/tanks^2 vs mega square gulags?

FFX, the one where most of the world was flooded.

They are literally treating interactions with me like it's a chess match.

You might be looking too deeply into this, some people just use more contextual language without putting any higher level thought into it or gaming out how the conversation will flow based beforehand or anything.

eg, there's a variety of apple my sister uses for pie, my mom won't see any difference between "Please make an apple pie for thanksgiving." and "There's a bag of apples in the kitchen."

It came up at work a few times where instead of "Can you do X by ?", you'd get a bunch of information related to the task and what other people are doing, expecting you to go "Oh yeah, I'll have X done by ".

A plant doesn't have to be native to benefit local ecosystem, parsley isn't native, but there's a local species of butterfly whose caterpillars love it.

The US has like 10,000 tanks, fields of aircraft, fleets of rotting ships, all in storage.

In the event of a war with China (just as Iraq and Afghanistan), most heavy US equipment would be refurbished stuff, it's cheaper and quicker to upgrade a 40 year old Abrams M1 than build a new M1A2.

I don't think the US even tries to prepare for a scenario where it actually goes through its reserve.

Gen 2 seems extremely silly.

Apparently Giant Redwoods can grow in parts of Ireland.

Cougar Domestication Project.

There are many problems with house cats, they're too small to cuddle, they can't take down fully grown deer, they're dangerous to local birds.

Mountain Lions solve all these problems, we just have to get them to tolerate human habitats and not eat children until we can have a population of semi-feral mountain lions that live with us the way house cats do.
