I have not used Landrop but looking at it from the outside, Landrop is version 0.4 and has received no development for 3 years now. LocalSend is past 1.0 and still in active development. I'd rather use LocalSend then instead of something abandoned before it was deemed complete.

Correct, people heard "AI" and went completely mad imagining things it might be able to do. And the current models act like happy dogs that are eager to give an answer to anything even if they have to make one up on the spot.

Yup I'm hit by the exact same bug currently. But I was able to go back to before I updated with Snapper and now I'll wait until the fix is in the Tumbleweed repos.

But other than that I'm much happier with the AMD than with my Nvidia (on Linux that is). VRR with Wayland on multiple monitors just works without issues. And before this week I never had any issues at all with the 7800XT.

Jo verstehe ich auch nicht warum überhaupt dann. Möglicherweise übersehe ich was, aber ich benutze nur das deutsche Layout.

Ja die großen Knöpfe sind auf jeden Fall einer der größten Pluspunkte. Die japanische Tastatur bei thumbkey ist weniger systematisch - allgemein soll wohl die Häufigkeit der Zeichen da formgebend sein. Sieht dann auch dementsprechend ungewohnt aus:

Oh, aber leider keine Kanji an der Stelle. Eine Tastatur für Hiragana, eine für Katakana - aber mehr nicht. Also nicht wirklich für Japanisch benutzbar.

Bisher ist mir nie aufgefallen, dass mein Daumen mehr belastet wäre als sonst, oder dass ich wegen Problemen im Daumen weniger schreibe. Scheint also ok zu funktionieren so.

Natürlich je nach Schreibmenge, aber ca 1 Woche bis du dir gemerkt hast wo die Buchstaben sind, dass du nicht jeden Buchstaben erstmal 2sek suchen musst. Und dann gut ein Monat oder zwei bis du die Sicherheit hast nicht mehr auf die Tastatur zu schauen.

Es gibt verschiedene Layouts - auch 5-spaltige die für zwei Finger gedacht sind.

Ich habe normale Tastaturen aufgegeben und bin seit ein paar Monaten mit Thumbkey unterwegs. Nach etwas Eingewöhnung finde ich es gut und kann flott schreiben. Vor allem auch "blind", also dass ich beim Schreiben auf den Text gucke und nicht auf die Tastatur.
