We’re admitting meat actually costs more than vegetables now?

“Y’all” was referring to anyone who’s still eating meat in any industrialized country that has access to animal-free options.

Have a burger and maybe contract bird flu while you’re at it 🥴

You got me: I use this one username to base my entire personality on because that makes sense

I was going to say breakfast burritos, it’s essentially the same thing but I usually add soy chorizo.

I grew up in a hunting environment and just never got into it. I also never liked things like steak, fried chicken, or other foods which are essentially a slab of dead animal. Eating something like a steak where you’re confronted with the fact it’s ONLY an animal was a lot more uncomfortable than something like a hamburger. And I never cooked meat myself as an adult because the thought of the blood and handling it were out of the question.

I wish I’d realized it sooner. When I finally went vegan it was at a very difficult time in my life. I’d been working crazy long hours, and one night I was eating a sad frozen lasagna that had far too much beef. It kept getting stuck in my teeth and I started thinking about the cow’s life and how miserable I felt, but once I thought about how infinitely worse that cow’s life must’ve been I just couldn’t take it anymore.

This is fantastic news. I went down the beagle testing rabbit hole one night and it broke my heart.

Let’s say they don’t recognize property claims. Why does that then make it right for you to take their eggs?

Many say the native Americans didn’t understand the European concept of owning land (property claim). I’m not sure whether that’s true, but if it were would that then mean it was okay for Europeans to take their land?

Your logic doesn’t make sense to me. “They can’t say ‘no’ and they probably don’t understand property so I’ll just go ahead and do what I want.” Lame

Real productive arguing whether a faceless stranger online is healthy.

You can be both healthy and unhealthy without animal products just the same as you can be consuming them. Organic and GMO foods aren’t limited to vegan and non-vegan diets, and processed food is readily available for both.

For me personally, it’s about not paying someone to kill an animal that did nothing to deserve being confined and slaughtered. I’m passing all my physicals and check-ins with flying colors, so I’ll continue not scarfing down dead animals down my throat.

The only reasoning I can come up with is that it’s another way to marginalize another group and label them as “other.”

They don’t want to spend 10 seconds to self-reflect and maybe admit what they’re doing is cruel to the animals, and instead they’ll do stuff like this to minimize others promoting animal welfare.
