Doesn't inversely proportional mean that more heavy intake of chicken correlates with lower cancer mortality in men?

Don't you have some videos to return?

Just venting here. It's a very low traffic community for a sports team, with announcements from that team's own website posted to the community. And people have to come in and vote it down. 😐

Pote Human will continue to lead the Western Conference division champion SaberCats as their coach and the man responsible for daily operations involving the players and coaching staff.

The SaberCats set a franchise record for victories this past season with a 14-2 mark as the top seeded team in the Major League Rugby playoffs.

To all of our devoted supporters,

Leading the Houston SaberCats for the last three years has been a great reminder of how sport is about more than what happens on the field. The love, support and kindness from everyone wearing the yellow and black makes it easy for me to say that Houston will always have a special place in my heart.

My goal has always been to promote this franchise to a level that demands respect from the rugby community in the USA. To make a difference, to build a team that this city can be proud of. After this year, I believe we have achieved it, as an organization working together.

Thank you, Houston. It has been a pleasure. All the best.

Did anyone check this comment for CMD before deleting?

Congress has access to the brightest economic consultants to navigate everything, that's not a problem. Closing loopholes is a logical next step. Just need to overcome the narrow margins and procedural fuck you manuevers to actually get things done.

Yeah, but gotta start somewhere right?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Uh .. doesn't China actually do that already?

A global minimum corporate tax rate, you say? Agreed to by 137 countries during the Biden administration even? Neat!

Yeah, have been in the room with a comatose person. Some people are good at just dumping out a one-sided conversation, but not me. The inclusion of the percentage of people who were clearly responsive but whose brain scans didn't indicate the expected activity is really important to take note of though. Really does need more study to refine our understanding.

Yeah, brains are weird. I'm glad they included this flip side of the study.

Up to one in four patients who are unresponsive after suffering serious brain injuries might actually still be conscious – indicating more patients may be aware of their surroundings than previously realized, new research suggests.

This state of 'hidden consciousness' is now officially known as cognitive motor dissociation (CMD), where cognitive (or thinking) abilities aren't connected to motor (or movement) abilities. Researchers have been looking into CMD for several years.

However, 62 percent of an additional 112 patients who were visibly responding to instructions at the bedside didn't exhibit the expected brain signals showing responsiveness – so the researchers suggest their methods still don't detect everyone with cognitive function.

Looks like the CS 11 has dropped the AC port and sag control from the 12, and it has an output to power an XP 5 or XP 8. The XP 5 and 8 drop the IEC power plugs, and have outputs to daisy chain to more XP 5/8 units. The XP 5 has SKUs for with and without a power supply, the XP 8 is only sold with a power supply.

The SaberCats open the Major League Rugby playoffs when they host Dallas at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at SaberCats Stadium. Houston had the best record in MLR with a 14-2 mark and is seeded No. 1 in the Western Conference. The Jackals, seeded fourth, are in the playoffs for the first time. The SaberCats, in the postseason for a third consecutive year, reached the Western Conference finals in 2022 (losing to Seattle) and were eliminated in the first round last year (also by Seattle). Dallas is making its first playoff appearance.

The PRS SE NF3 is a distinct guitar in the PRS lineup. The heart of this guitar is a trio of PRS Narrowfield pickups, a first for the SE Series. Supporting these pickups is a poplar body, 22-fret bolt-on maple neck, and the choice of either a rosewood or maple fretboard. The SE NF3 is a versatile workhorse guitar that is fun to play and hard to put down. The Narrowfield DD (Deep Dish) “S” pickups are made with taller bobbins to fit more winds and extra metal pieces in between the magnets for a more focused, powerful tone.

My birthday came and went, with two new pedals for my board. The expression pedal is the EP-25k, for use with the Pitch Fork and the tremolo. But alas I only have the one TRS cable for now, so I've only tried it with the Pitchfork. Really fun, and pleasantly different than using a vibrato arm on the guitar.

The EQ I haven't hooked up yet. I need to flip the board and look at my power situation as I don't have any slots left on the C-spot. The main intent for that pedal in the near-term is for when I switch from humbuckers to single coils. Presently plugging in my Strat is just really underwhelming as everything is set more for my PRS 24-08 and Epi 335. A longer-term interest with the EQ pedal is for splitting my chain for wet/dry between the Prince of Tone and the Micro Flanger.
