I know a lot of bullet proof hosts used to be in The Netherlands but now I'm not too sure about that bc I hear they're cracking down on copyright.
For piracy I really do not see the appeal of self-hosting a VPN.
If you really must self host a good VPN like Mullvad (or even windscribe as you mentioned) can be ran even on a webserver to tunnel all of your torrent traffic through, deluge is incredibly easy to setup to run only over mullvad.
Almost any hosting company is going to send you angry emails when downloading public torrents, some may even terminate your services without warning then refuse to talk to you after the fact (looking at you contabo).
If you really want to host your own server for this I recommend looking for a “bulletproof” webhosting service, people running those services will just ignore letters from copyright holders.
seems to be down for me too. I keep getting an error that the server is redirecting too many times, I wonder if they're undergoing a DDOS attack or something like that.
I've really enjoyed playing Pokemon Unbound. Its a very well put together rom hack with a unique story and up to gen 8 Pokemon I believe.

A lot of times the other Lemmy instances just tend to not "sync up" with each other.
It could be that the instance you're on doesn't have enough power to operate it's server with all its users while trying to at the same time pull in federated content from other instances.
Another thing I've noticed is that a lot of Lemmy instances have mismatched Lemmy versions so I wonder if that causes an issue when trying to share federated content between instances.
I'm not an expert on this, I just a general understanding of how this stuff works.

I should have mentioned I was talking specifically about Windows 10 LTSC version. I have that on one machine only for my fiancée to use, I was definitely able to uninstall edge on that so that Firefox would be the only option.
You can uninstall the newest version of edge in Windows. The newer edge is chromium based and it seems you can remove it now. However the previous version of edge that was built into windows could not be removed with traditional methods.
Mullvad still works perfectly well for torrents, I'm downloading and seeding torrents now as of typing this.
It just won't work well for certain types of torrents and certain private trackers and things like that.
It does suck they took away that feature but I understand why they did it.
